How to Choose the Right Jet Broker

I will outline how to choose the right jet broker. This isn't always an easy decision as every private jet broker will give a different level of service.

How does one choose the Right Jet Broker?

This is a great question. I have written about this in the past. Usually a recommendation is a great start. It is good to ask if the person taking the jet charter was satisfied. By this I mean not only with the private aircraft but the personal service. Was the private jet broker attentive to the client's needs? Did the broker follow up with the client immediately with the itinerary, tail number of the aircraft and FBO information? Did the jet charter broker ask the client if they had a preference for the FBO? This is important as sometimes the FBO the Operator chooses is not convenient for the client or it might not be close to the hotel.

Another important service the jet broker provides is the ability to book ground transportation. Was ground transportation requested? If so did the broker give the clients all the options for limosine service? Perhaps the clients wanted to rent a car from the FBO. This is usually arranged by the Operator as they have the relationship with the car rental company. Also, it is also good to ask the Operator which limo service they use as they will let you know who gives the best service.

Lastly, there is catering. What are your clients' preferences. It is a great idea before catering is ordered to get an estimate from the caterer as catering can be quite expensive. Also it is a great idea to make sure the food is there on time. The last thing you want to do is arrange a private jet charter and have to wait for the catering!

As pricing will vary it is always a great idea for the broker to provide several options on several aircraft. It is always important to have a good experience so the client will count on your expertise for the next private jet charter!
